After owning SOG's for over 20 years and being a staunch believer in their products and warranty, I decided that I would try a little customizing to church up my knives.

I wanted a knife that was different from everyone else's and that people would see in awe. I have customized nearly 100 Tomcats and Tomcat II's. Most of them have been given to friends and family, but have built a good following of customers that still carry my pieces.

I started with Maple Burl, but soon ran into the world of stabilized woods. I have access to a great supply of Maple Burl and my favorite, Madrone Burl. I have to say also that I am a strong advocate for the higher contrasting dyed and even spalted burls. I admire the unique "fingerprint", the one of a kind patterning that only nature can do for us.

Along with the Tomcats, I have done several fixed blades that are still in use today, but honestly most have been retired to the safe or wall, as they have become more and more valuable as a collector investment. I really have a rough time keeping up with those already in the know of my SOG's, but am constantly taking custom orders from new clients with exciting ideas and requests.

I am also providing custom tigerstriping and Gridlock Camo to the SOG line that has the TiNi coating and Ghost Gridlock for the standard stainless knives and tools. Along with this, I also have available custom mixing and matching for the unusual, such as Rainbow or Gold TiNi with the Black TiNi mix. Awesome - unique look!
